Priorities for Pismo Beach
Responsible Growth
Safe, Well-Maintained Infrastructure
Traffic & Parking
A More Responsive City
City government should work for the people it serves.
Residents and local businesses should be able to understand City processes, get clear information, and know what to expect when they interact with City Hall. Decisions should be consistent, transparent, timely, and based on meaningful public input.
I will work to make City government more accessible and responsive, with a focus on listening to residents, improving communication, and making City processes easier to navigate.
Responsible Growth
Pismo Beach is special. We need to plan thoughtfully so it stays that way.
Growth and development should respect the character of our community while addressing the needs of residents today and preparing responsibly for the future. My experience as an architect and on the Planning Commission has taught me the importance of looking carefully at how individual projects fit into the larger community.
I will support thoughtful planning grounded in facts, sound analysis, community input, and a clear understanding of long-term impacts.
Safe, Well-Maintained Infrastructure
Maintaining the infrastructure people depend on every day is one of the City’s fundamental responsibilities.
That means addressing roads and storm drainage, maintaining public assets, restoring coastal access damaged by storms, and making sure critical infrastructure is resilient for the future.
We should identify deficiencies, establish clear priorities, and follow through with well-designed, cost-effective solutions based on current engineering practices.
Traffic & Parking
Traffic and parking affect residents, businesses, neighborhoods, and everyone who moves through Pismo Beach.
We need a clear understanding of our circulation system, parking availability, traffic flow, and the specific challenges different parts of the city are experiencing. Residents and local businesses should be part of that process.
I will support practical solutions that address parking and traffic while also improving safety and mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists. Any proposed changes should work for the community as a whole.
Two Principles That Guide Every Priority
Spending in the Right Places
Taxpayer dollars should deliver the greatest possible value for our community.
City spending should reflect clear priorities, responsible planning, and the difference between what is essential, what is beneficial, and what can wait. I will support careful use of public resources and investments that address genuine community needs.
Better Information = Better Decisions
Good decisions begin with good information.
Decisions affecting Pismo Beach should be guided by facts, sound analysis, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and meaningful community input. Residents deserve to understand the information behind important decisions and have an opportunity to be heard before those decisions are made.
I will advocate for careful consideration and open public discussion before moving forward on issues that affect our community.
Pismo Beach Is Special. Let’s Keep It That Way.
These priorities share one goal: protecting what people value about Pismo Beach while preparing responsibly for its future.
Thoughtful planning. Responsible decisions. A City government that listens, communicates clearly, spends carefully, maintains the community’s essential infrastructure, and keeps residents at the center of the decisions it makes.
